Ok, are you ready to burst out into laughter? I can guarantee that you’ll laugh when you see these clips of dogs in shoes and dogs wearing booties.
A note of advice, just in case you’re in the middle of a work meeting when you decide to watch these clips. There is a possibility that you may suddenly start to laugh. Or if you’re on public transport when you decide to watch these clips, your outbursts of laughter may win you some strange looks. You have been warned.
When I first saw these clips, I laughed uncontrollably. After watching the clips a few times, I started to think that the dogs wearing booties and shoes were trying to take the footwear off. I’ll be honest; dog shoes and dog boots are popular across the web. However, I struggle to get my head around the concept of why a dog will need boots. Nevertheless, they obviously seem to serve some purpose.
Dog boots and dog shoes are just one thing among the ever-increasing list of accessories that dog lovers can purchase to promote the well-being of the canine buddies. Some dogs put on their dog shoes and gracefully toddle along, while others wear doggie footwear and seem to lose all form of coordination or control over their legs. It’s a truly bizarre scene to watch, probably because it’s unnatural for dogs to wear shoes.
Police dogs in Germany wear dog booties to protect them from injury of broken glass when they go patrol. Dogs can also wear boots to protect them from extremely cold temperatures or excessive dirt. Some service animals wear dog boots to protect them from burning their feet when they walk on hot surfaces.
The videos are amusing, but if you consider that dog boots are unnatural, you may see the clips in a different light. With that being said, have a look through the clips, try not to laugh too hard, and judge for yourself.
